Maternity sessions are the perfect way to remember your pregnancy long after your bump has gone.
At Gillard Studios we believe in creating a selection of beautifully crafted images to remember this incredible life changing experience.
You will be photographed by internationally award winning photographer, Jordan and on hand to assist with posing and dressing will be Sally or Sophie - ensuring that you feel confident and relaxed throughout your session.
We have an array of stunning maternity gowns to give your images the look and feel of luxury.
Additionally, we are happy to create tasteful lingerie and implied nude portraits of your amazing, changing body.
Our full maternity sessions give you 1-2 hours in the studio to work through a variety of gowns and styles - with partners and siblings being welcome to also be included in the session.
If you're looking for something different, that will wow - we are the studio for you.
The sessions are best taken place between week 30-36 of pregnancy, as this is when your bump will be clearly visible but you will still likely be comfortable enough to pose!
After the session, we will invite you back to the studio for a viewing/ordering appointment where you can select which images and products you'd like to purchase. Once your order is placed, your images will be fully retouched by hand to an award winning standard - guaranteeing that your images will look perfect in print. From there your images will be sent to our incredible artwork partners, where they will be produced into the most incredible products that will last a lifetime.

What qualifications do you have?

Jordan is one of the UK's most highly qualified and leading newborn photographers, having gained his Associateship with the Master Photographers Association - among other accolades.
When is the best time to book?
You can book your maternity session at any point after your 12 week scan, in terms of scheduling a date - we aim to schedule your appointment for when you are 30-36 weeks pregnant.
How long do the sessions last?
Our maternity sessions generally take between 1-2 hours, but there is no rush and we work entirely at a pace that is comfortable for you.
What do I need to bring?
We provide a range of gowns which you are able to select from, however if you wish to bring something of your own to wear then you are more than welcome to - especially if it's traditional/cultural clothing.
We advise wearing comfortable, yet discreet underwear (ideally nude in colour with a strapless or multiway bra if possible).
Are siblings and partners included in the session?
Yes, you are welcome to bring siblings and partners along to the session.

How do I order my images?
After your session, we'll invite you back to the studio for your reveal appointment where we will present your images on our large screen TV. At this appointment we'll go through all of your images and start putting a bespoke order together for you.
